Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has published tentative seat matrix for 50% All India quota of PG medical seats for admission into MD/ MS/ Diploma PG medical courses across the country through AIPGMEE 2015 scores. According to the list 4552 degree seats and 997 diploma seats are available for counseling. That is a total of 5549 PG medical seats.
Last year degree seats for Round 1 counseling were 603 (Central institutes) + 43 (Institutes of Excellence) + 3858 (other than central institutes) = 4504
Also diploma seats were 110 (Central institutes) + 932 (other than central institutes) = 1042

Along with this MCC website has posted a notice that nomenclature of certain Degree/Diploma courses have been merged in the matrix 2015 displayed on www.mcc.nic.in for their convenience. Example given is “MD (Dermatology) has been used for representational purposes for all Degrees being awarded for PG courses in Skin specialty. Various States/University may have different nomenclature like MD(Venerology & Leprosy/ Skin Veneral Diseases etc) for the same specialty. ”
