MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (Department of Health and Family Welfare) has published a notification for amendment in the First Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). According to this amendment Diplomate National Board (DNB – Emergency Medicine) is now a recognised medical qualification when granted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi on or after June 2013.
Following Diplomate National Board (DNB), Broad Specialty Courses (three years courses at the Post MBBS level) are recognized medical qualification when granted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi:
- Diplomate National Board (Anatomy)
- Diplomate National Board (Emergency Medicine)
- Diplomate National Board (Field Epidemiology)
- Diplomate National Board (Immunohematology & Transfusion Medicine)
- Diplomate National Board (Rural Surgery)
Following Diplomate National Board (DNB), Super Specialty Courses (three years courses at the Post MD/MS level) are recognized medical qualification when granted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi:
- Diplomate National Board (Endocrinology)
- Diplomate National Board (Hematology)
- Diplomate National Board (Medical Genetics)
- Diplomate National Board (Medical Oncology)
- Diplomate National Board (Neonatology)
- Diplomate National Board (Peripheral Vascular Surgery)
- Diplomate National Board (Rheumatology)
- Diplomate National Board (Surgical Gastroenterology)
- Diplomate National Board (Surgical Oncology)
- Diplomate National Board (Thoracic Surgery)
Following Fellowship National Board (FNB), Courses (two years courses at the Post MD/MS level) are recognized medical qualification when granted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi:
- Fellowship National Board (Critical Care Medicine)
- Fellowship National Board (Cardiac Anaesthesia)
- Fellowship National Board (Hand & Micro Surgery)
- Fellowship National Board (High risk Pregnancy & Perinatology)
