38th National Conference of Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry to be held at Kochi in 2016. The theme of the conference is “PedoByte – Networking the global art of Child Dentistry”. In tune with the theme of the conference, the scientific committee is preparing an array of international and national speakers of repute which will make the scientific sessions highly informative. This will be an excellent opportunity to share ideas and expertise, to meet old friends and make new ones and to promote the science and art of Pedodontics. Le Meridian, Kochi has been chosen as the venue for this grand event. The Pre-conference sessions will be held at Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi.
Kochi, the “Queen of Arabian Sea” is considered as the business capital of Kerala, Gods own Country. It is also often called as Ernakulam which refers to the mainland part of the city. Being a major port city on the south west coast of India, Kochi was an important spice trading centre from 14th century. Occupied by Portuguese Empire in 1503, Kochi was the first of European colonies in colonial India. The city was later occupied by the Dutch and the British with the Kingdom of Cochin becoming a princely state. Kochi has been ranked the sixth best tourist destinations in India according to Outlook Traveller magazine.
