Q. In what year did you pass out your MBBS (Completion of Internship)?
Ans. March 2014.
Q. What were your MBBS percentage marks (aggregate or final year) ?
Ans. 70%
Q. What ranks had you secured in any previous PG medical entrance exams you gave?
Ans. Rank 135 in PGI and Rank 9 in AIIMS.
Q. Could you please tell us something about yourself?
Ans. Both my parents are teachers, my brother is doing PG in Gen medicine. I play basketball and shuttle.
Q. What is the secret of your success?
Ans. Planning and hardwork.
Q. How was your internship?
Ans. Hectic.
Q. When did you seriously start preparing for the entrance exam?
Ans. Internship.
Q. How many hours did you study each day?
Ans. 6 to 8 hours.
Q. Which books did you read for the theory part?
Ans. Robbins, Ganong etc.
Q. Which subjects did you focus on?
Ans. Short subjects, SARP plus Forensic, biochemistry.
Q. What were your study methods? How many revisions did you do for each subject?
Ans. Two revisions, I relied mostly on my notes which i gathered from my mistakes in various exams.
Q. What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Ans. I attempted 600 approx on PGI. Since any less attempts wont allow me to go into top since it was second time i had to take risk.
Q. Did you join any classes or test series? Was it useful?
Ans. Yep. pgei vijag it was good, especially biochemistry, physiology and Forensic were awesome. Adrplexus mock exams were also helpful
Q. In which field do you want to specialize in? why?
Ans. Gen medicine.
Q. What is your advice to future aspirants?
Ans. Start early, don’t waste time.
Q. Indian PG entrances are highly competitive, so to crack them students end up in appearing for multiple PG exams with some of them having same exam with different slots and papers , please extend your views on this and their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances.
Ans. We have to attend multiple pg exams so as to know our strong and weak holds but we have to maintain clarity regarding what we want to join and crack so that we prepare hard for those one or two exams specifically.
