Q. In what year did you pass out your MBBS (Completion of Internship)?
Ans. 2017
Q. What were your MBBS percentage marks (aggregate or final year)?
Ans. 68.59
Q. Could you please tell us something about yourself?
Ans. I studied in a government school, my dad is an engineer
Q. What is the secret of your success?
Ans. Constant support from my parents, hard work, best teachers to learn from
Q. How was your internship?
Ans. Many clinical aspects that were asked in AIIMS answer because of the kind of exposure in our internship. Our college is one of the best.????????
Q. When did you seriously start preparing for the entrance exam?
Ans. Starting of this year.
Q. How many hours did you study each day? How long do you think students need to prepare for cracking PG medical entrance exams?
Ans. It differs from person to person… I studied for 12 hours a day… During last 2 months around 15 hrs a day
Q. Which subjects did you focus on?
Ans. All the subjects are important… Pathology, medicine, pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, surgery, and PSM are the core subjects
Q. What were your study methods? How many revisions did you do for each subject? Did you make any changes in your study methods in your recent attempts?
Ans. To study whatever was taught in class and to solve questions… Even during revision I used to solve as many questions as possible… Probably that helped me a lot
Q. Did you do any special preparation for image-based questions?
Ans. If theory knowledge is good we will be in a position to attend most of the image based questions as well.
Q. What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why? How many do you think you got correct?
Ans. I attempted 196… My plan was to read all the questions correctly, all options correctly without hurrying that made me to get maximum marks
Q. Do think there should be a different strategy for preparation of different entrance exams like AIIMS-PG, PGI and DNB CET?
Ans. They all have different patterns, but the core syllabus is the same… Strategy will differ slightly because negatives carry more weightage In PGI n AIIMS
Q. Did you join any classes or test series? Was it useful?
Ans. I joined BRIGHT medical institute Bangalore
Q. Who or what influenced you to take up Medicine?
Ans. Mainly because of the reputation this field has… And an opportunity to serve humanity
Q. In which field do you want to specialize in? Why?
Ans. Radiology or pediatrics … I am passionate about these two branches
Q. What is your advice to future aspirants?
Ans. There is no shortcut to success… Ur core knowledge matters. Never underestimate yourself… That is the biggest mistake a lot of students do
Q. Indian PG entrances are highly competitive, so to crack them students end up in appearing for multiple PG exams with some of them having the same exam with different slots and papers, please extend your views on this and their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances.
Ans. Whatever exams students will appear the syllabus is the same… Only thing is whichever exam they are targeting one should get acquainted with the pattern… Shd take multiple mock exams on that pattern… Try to reduce mistakes in reading the question, options, marking an answer…
