NATIONAL CENTRE FOR ANTARCTIC AND OCEAN RESEARCH (Earth System Science Organization) has posted an advertisement for recruitment of doctors for the posts of Medical Officer on contract basis for its research bases at Antarctica for the season 2014‐16.

Salary
Contract wages of Rs. 73,656/-per month for candidates holding MBBS Degree (with four years experience) and for candidates holding Postgraduate qualification Rs.85,932/- per month for the entire duration of contract.
The above medical officers as member of the team will be entitled for free boarding & lodging on board ship and at Antarctica with special polar clothing.
The medical officers are entitled for Special Hardship allowance of Rs. 1125/‐ per day during the summer season and Rs.1688/‐ per day during the winter season for the actual duration of stay in Antarctica.
Summer season will be from 1st December, 2014 to 28th February, 2015.
Winter season will be from 1st March, 2015 and 30th November, 2015.
Qualifications
- M.B.B.S. from recognized university
- Desirable: Post Graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) from a recognized University.
- Experience: Four years experience in the case of medical graduates (i.e. MBBS) and one year experience in the case of candidates having Post-Graduate qualification (i.e.MD/MS/DNB).
