PAYSCALE:

Rs. 8,000-13,500 (Revised level 10-. Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/- + NPA, 25% of pay in pay matrix).

General Central Service Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-
Ministerial.

Age: 30 yrs.

QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A) EDUCATIONAL: (i) A recognized Medical Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate Qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

(ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship.

DESIRABLE:Three years Experience in Family Planning and educational method of including training in technique of medical termination of pregnancy and tubectomy operations.

DUTIES:

(i) LMO will be responsible for implementation of Family
Welfare Programme.

(ii) She will provide consultation on family welfare methods,
carryout IUD insertion and perform/arrange for sterilization operation of volunteers.

(iii) She will be required to make home visits for promotion of Family Welfare and also be
responsible for administration of Family Welfare Centers.

HQ: New Delhi.

ANYOTHER CONDITIONS : The LMO will have to serve anywhere in India. The officer will not be
allowed private practice of any kind whatsoever, including consultation and Laboratory
practice.
