Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has published notification for announcement for Maharashtra MH-CET 2014 results on its official website. MH-CET is for admission into MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP,  BP&O  and B.Sc.[Nursing] courses in medical institutes situated in Maharashtra.

Results can be checked by candidates here by their respective log in ID and password. The final merit list will be published on the website of DMER on 10/06/2014. Candidate can download and take a print of marksheet from the website “www.mhcet2014.co.in”, from 11th June 2014.

Candidates who wish to submit their application for verification of marks, can submit at the office of any Divisional Authority from 6th June 2014 to 9th June 2014, as per instructions in rule no. 8.5 of Information Brochure for MH CET 2014.

Another notification published on DMER website states that “The subject experts have opined that Five (05) questions in the question paper of the aforesaid examination are defective. The Competent Authority, on the basis of the opinion and advice of the respective subject expert has taken a decision to make these Five (05) questions “non-evaluative / invalid”. These questions carried four marks each for a correct answer. Therefore instead of reducing the maximum number of marks from 720 to 700, The Competent Authority has decided to allot four marks each for these defective MCQ to all candidates who appeared in this examination, thus keeping maximum marks as 720; unchanged.” For more details on non-evaluative / invalid question click here.

The examination was conducted on Thursday, 08th May, 2014. The Common Entrance Examination 2014 was conducted at the district head quarters in Maharashtra, at 390 centres. Total of 1,48,394 candidates appeared for this examination. There were 65,607 boys and 82,787 girls.

4111 candidates from open category are eligible for Medical/ Dental Courses and 3395  candidates from reserved category are eligible for same.

The selection process for admission to Health Science Courses shall be conducted during second week of June by filling “Preference Form” at following 4 centres:

  1. Grant Medical College, Mumbai,
  2. B.J. Medical College, Pune,
  3. Govt. Medical College, Nagpur &
  4. Govt. Medical College, and Aurangabad.
