Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, Maharashtra has published Personal Counseling Process of PGM-CET 2016 for State Quota Admissions to Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) in the State of Maharashtra. The notification is in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India order in IA No. 7 & 8 in writ Petition(s) (civil) No 76/2015 and WP 314 & 328 of 2015 dated 18th January 2016, there will be 2 nd round of allotment process from 23rd April 2016 to 10th May 2016, under 50% All India Quota 2016. The vacant All India Quota post graduate medical seats will be surrendered to the state of Maharashtra on 10th May 2016 (After 5.00p.m.).

The candidates who have secured and joined from 50% All India Quota postgraduate admission process in colleges situated in the State of Maharashtra should resign & surrender their seat on or before 10th May 2016 so as to be eligible for aforesaid Personal Counseling round.
Wednesday, 11/05/2016 After 8.00 p.m.
Combined Display of following Vacancy 1) Non-Allotted / Non-Joined / Resigned seats of state quota after the 1st round. 2) Non-Allotted/ Non-Joined/ Resigned seats of 50% All India quota returned to State Quota up to 10/05/2016. (Including PWD Quota Seats if any) 3) Unallotted In-service quota seats if any. 4) Newly created seats if any 5) Seats surrendered by Private Institutions if any.
Thursday, 12/05/2016 up-to 3.00 p.m.
Submission of Status Retention form at the respective institute for PWD candidates Only. Candidates who have been allotted postgraduate seats in PWD Quota during 1st round of PGM-CET 2016 and so far not filled the Status Retention form and wish to retain the allotted seat should submit the Status Retention form on or before 12th May, 2016 up to 3.00pm such candidate filling status retention will not be allowed to attend the Personal Counseling Round for PWD Quota seats.

Submission of Status Retention form at respective institute. Candidates who have been allotted postgraduate seats during 1st round of PGM-CET 2016 and so far not filled the Status Retention form and wish to retain the allotted seat should submit the Status Retention form on or before 17th May 2016 up to 3.00pm. Such candidate filling status retention form will not allow attending the Personal Counseling Round. All those candidates, who have joined during 1st round and submitted status retention form within prescribed date; and wish to attend Personal Counseling will have to submit the cancellation of retained seat to the respective institute on or before 17th May 2016, 3.00pm so as be eligible for personal counseling round. Candidate attending personal counseling round without surrendering seat, will not be allowed to attend the personal counseling round.

The cutoff date for PGM-CET 2016 admission is 31st May 2016 hence any seat remaining vacant at Private Unaided Medical Colleges who opted admissions through PGM-CET 2016 can be filled at institute level on the basis PGM-CET 2016 Merit List from 27th May to 31th May 2016.
