Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik has published a notification for an announcement of the postponement of Summer-2016 Examinations scheduled for MD, MS, M.Sc. and all PG Diploma courses in medical faculty commencing from 23rd May 2016.

The rescheduled Summer-2016 Examinations for MD, MS & M.Sc. courses will start from 25th July 2016 and onwards. The detail new timetable will be declared shortly.

The rescheduled Summer-2016 Examinations for all PG Diploma Courses in medical faculty will start from 06th June 2016 and onwards. The detail new time table will be declared shortly. This arrangement has been done in an extraordinary situation due to the extension of cut-off date for admission during the Admission year by the Competent Authority.

Present decision is a result of points mentioned in a previous circular by MUHS which says eligibility of PG students for appearing in the ensuing Summer-2016 Examinations shall be strictly scrutinized as per Section 10 and 14 of Medical Council of India Post Graduate Education Regulations, 2000, regarding completion of Academic terms/ period of training of the course before allowing them for Summer-2016 Examinations. Students should have 75% Theory & 80% Practical attendance in each academic year.

So all those candidates who have taken late admission due to NEET 2013, were not able to complete 36 months of PG training and thus were not eligible to appear for the exams. MUHs has postponed the exams for avoiding this issue.
