National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET PG) 2017 will be conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) For admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses – 2017 Session. NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section (10) of Indian Medical CouncilAct, 1956. NEET-PG is a single window entrance examination for PG courses. No other entrance.Scope of NEET-PG 2017

 

NEET-PG is a single window entrance examination for PG courses. No other entrance examination, either at the state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 w.e.f.Admission Session —2017. National Board of Examinations has been notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to conduct NEET-PG on an All-India Basis for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses at various medical colleges and institutions of the country.

NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from 5th-13th December 2016 at test centres located in 41 cities across the country.

Scope of NEET PG 2017:

  • All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
  • State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
  • MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
  • MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
  • DNB Broad specialty courses (January 2017 Admission Session)

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh; JIPMER, Pondicherry; NIMHANS Bangalore; Sri Chitra Institute, Trivandrum shall be conducted their own entrance examination as they are covered by separate acts of Parliament and NEET-PG merit list is not binding on these institutions. Eligibility Criteria for NEET – PG 2017:

Candidates in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from a Medical College/institute duly recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act, possessing either a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS or equivalent qualification issued by the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the same on or before 31 st March 2017 may apply for NEET-PG through online application system at www.nbe.edu.in

Applying for NEET-PG 2017:

Candidates can register for NEET PG through an online portal from 26th September to 31st October 2016. Candidates can choose the exam centre and date through online registration system on the first come first serve basis. Admit card will be sent to the candidates on their registered email ID after successful completion of online registration and payment of fees.

General/ OBC Candidates: 3750/-
SC/ST/PWD/ (PH) Candidates: 2750/-

The fee for the examination has to be remitted through payment gateway, at the time of online
registration, using a credit card or debit card issued by Banks in India or through online banking.
