Textbooks of Microbiology: A Comparative Review

As a part of my series of articles to review books, I am writing this comparative review of textbooks of Microbiology for students to buy books which will be helpful for their exams. Books marked as “Recommended” are the ones which students should prefer buying and thus read.

Ananthanarayan and Paniker’s Textbook of Microbiology by R. Ananthanarayan, Arti Kapil (Recommended)

This is the book which I and my batchmates used to read in our UG days and is the best book to read in MBBS. It gives topic in enough details to be read by all UG students.
