Medical or\u00a0Applied\u00a0Microbiology. Candidates with\u00a0Five year of\u00a0relevant\u00a0work\u00a0experience will be preferred.<\/p>\n<h2>Job specialization \/\u00a0responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To handle day-to-day\u00a0correspondence in\u00a0National Reference\u00a0Laboratory pertaining\u00a0to Culture and DST.<\/li>\n<li>To conduct on-site evaluation of Laboratories under RNTCP and submit periodic reports to CTD.<\/li>\n<li>To implement SOPs in\u00a0NRL, revision of SOPs\u00a0as per program need\u00a0incorporating newer\u00a0technology.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical\u00a0support in expansion\u00a0of the full range of\u00a0activities under the\u00a0external quality\u00a0assessment (EQA) for\u00a0sputum smear\u00a0microscopy and\u00a0mycobacterial culture\u00a0and drug susceptibility\u00a0testing.<\/li>\n<li>Support in planning\u00a0and scaling up of\u00a0quality assured\u00a0mycobacterial culture\u00a0and drug susceptibility\u00a0testing (DST) for MDR\u00a0TB Management and\u00a0drug resistance\u00a0surveillance.<\/li>\n<li>To provide on the job\u00a0training to the\u00a0laboratory technicians\u00a0in NRL.<\/li>\n<li>To engage\u00a0maintenance agencies\u00a0for NRL equipments\u00a0and monitor their\u00a0performance.<\/li>\n<li>To assist and monitor\u00a0implementation of lab\u00a0QA in states, in\u00a0coordination with\u00a0respective\u00a0microbiologist (IRL &amp;\u00a0EQA) for all\u00a0technologies\u00a0(LJ,LC,LPA, CBNAAT)<\/li>\n<li>To coordinate with\u00a0partner organizations\u00a0engaged in\u00a0infrastructure\u00a0development or\u00a0culture\/ DST capacity\u00a0development of NRL.<\/li>\n<li>To oversee data entry\u00a0of Direct\u00a0Microscopy\/CDST labs\u00a0into the TB ICT\u00a0application (NIKSHAY)<\/li>\n<li>To provide timely\u00a0feedback to CTD on\u00a0performance of\u00a0laboratories under\u00a0RNTCP.<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate change\u00a0management with\u00a0respect to use of ICT &amp;\u00a0NIkshay tools for\u00a0concerned data entry,\u00a0validation &amp; its use for public health action.<\/li>\n<li>Any other tasks\u00a0assigned as per\u00a0program needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Salary<\/h2>\n<p>Consolidated\u00a0remuneration\u00a0of Rs.\u00a053,680 per\u00a0month for\u00a0person with\u00a0qualification as\u00a0MD\u00a0(Microbiology)\u00a0or Ph.D\u00a0Medical\u00a0Microbiology.<br \/>\nConsolidated\u00a0remuneration\u00a0of\u00a0Rs.39,900 per\u00a0month for\u00a0person with\u00a0qualification\u00a0M.Sc. Medial\u00a0or Applied\u00a0Microbiology.<\/p>\n<h2>Age Limit<\/h2>\n<p>45 years for Consultant (Microbiologist)<\/p>\n<h2>Tenure<\/h2>\n<p>Initially for one year further extendable on the basis of performance.\u00a0However, the tenure will automatically terminated on the closure of the project.
