Q. In what year did you pass out your MBBS (Completion of Internship)?<\/strong>
\nAns. 2014.<\/p>\n

Q. What were your MBBS percentage marks (aggregate or final year) ?<\/strong>
\nAns.\u00a068<\/p>\n

Q. What ranks had you secured in any previous PG medical entrance exams you gave?<\/strong>
\nAns. Rank 104 in\u00a0AIIMS and Rank 23 in JIPMER.<\/p>\n

Q. Could you please tell us something about yourself?<\/strong>
\nAns. Average guy, from a middle class family, fun loving, love to play basketball, no awards or scholarships.<\/p>\n

Q. What is the secret of your success?<\/strong>
\nAns. Hardwork, sacrifices and self belief.<\/p>\n

Q. How was your internship?<\/strong>
\nAns. Did from CMC Coimbatore…it was hectic, didn’t get to read during internship.<\/p>\n

Q. When did you seriously start preparing for the entrance exam?<\/strong>
\nAns.\u00a0April 2014.<\/p>\n

Q. How many hours did you study each day?<\/strong>
\nAns.\u00a010-12 hrs…some good days 14 hrs.<\/p>\n

Q. Which books did you read for the theory part?<\/strong>
\nAns. Park, Ganong and bit of Harrison.<\/p>\n

Q. Which books did you read for MCQs revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?<\/strong>
\nAns. Across 1 & 2, Rachna Chaurasiya for Microbiology, Sparsh Gupta for Pathology and Pharmacology, Vivek Jain for SPM, AA for Surgery, Medicine, Paediatrics , Sakshi Arora for ObGy….most productive ones were Across, Path, Pharm and SPM and least medicine.<\/p>\n

Q. Which subjects did you focus on?<\/strong>
\nAns.\u00a01st yr, 2nd yr, SPM and short subjects.<\/p>\n

Q. What were your study methods? How many revisions did you do for each subject?<\/strong>
\nAns.\u00a0Idea was to finish 1st reading ASAP…so I quickly went through all guides and coaching notes…leaving behind some unimportant topics I finished every thing in sept 1st week…then pre aaims one revision n post AIIM S\u00a0one….short subject i made my notes…everything in 7-8 pages each..nd use to revise them again n again….this really propelled me from a rank say 2000 to 345 n boosted my confidence..because no question came outside my notes<\/p>\n

Q. What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?<\/strong>
\nAns. Idea was to first attempt the questions which I\u00a0m damn sure\u00a0and then those which are doubtful, so in AIIMS\u00a0i attempted 183,\u00a0JIPMER\u00a0245 and AIPGMEE 298.<\/p>\n

Q. Did you join any classes or test series? Was it useful?<\/strong>
\nAns.\u00a0ya TMCAA thrissur. It was fabulous, not only the coaching but staying there and reading is amazing.<\/p>\n

Q. Who or what influenced you to take up Medicine?<\/strong>
\nAns.\u00a0inner conscience:) haha<\/p>\n

Q. In which field do you want to specialize in? why?<\/strong>
\nAns. I am passionate for surgery. Thats why took MS General Surgery in JIPMER<\/p>\n

Q.\u00a0What seat have you been allotted in counselling? Did you join?
\nAns. I<\/strong>\u00a0got physiology in AIIMS. Would\u00a0have got any branch barring radiology in JIPMER and AIPG.<\/p>\n

Q. What is your advice to future aspirants?<\/strong>
\nAns. Friends you\u00a0got 8 months. Give your 100%. Get segregated. Turn off all your distractions like fb, whatsapp etc<\/p>\n

Q. Indian PG entrances are highly competitive, so to crack them students end up in appearing for multiple PG exams with some of them having same exam with different slots and papers , please extend your views on this and their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances.<\/strong>
\nAns. Ya\u00a0I believe it should be one day exam, everybody gets the same cake.<\/p>\n
