Q. What were your MBBS percentage marks (aggregate or final year)?<\/b><\/p>\n

Q. What ranks had you secured in any previous PG medical entrance exams you gave?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0I am the first medico in my family.

Q. What is the secret of your success?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Consistent hard work, revision at least 3 before exams.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. How was your internship?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Internship in KEM is frustrating & slightly heavy, but all the support & help that I got from my batchmates & friends helped me to get enough for studies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. When did you seriously start preparing for the entrance exam?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans. \u00a0Mid of JAN 2015<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. How many hours did you study each day? How long do you think students need to prepare for cracking PG medical entrance exams?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a04-8 hrs depending on postings.
\nQuality time with books is more important for cracking such exams.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Which books did you read for the theory part?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Mostly MCQ books in my internship & standard textbooks for doubts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Which books did you read for the MCQs? Which MCQ books were the most productive and which were least?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Mostly ARORA volumes
\nOphthalmology RUCHI RAI
\nOrthopedics APURV MEHRA
\nRadiology SUMER SETHI
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Which subjects did you focus on?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Mostly 2nd-year subjects, PSM & short subjects<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. What were your study methods? How many revisions did you do for each subject? Did you make any changes in your study methods in your recent attempts?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0I concentrated on revising already read stuff rather than running for new facts.
\n3 revisions for each subject
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Did you do any special preparation for image-based questions?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0No.
\nI had only 5 image based questions in my set which were quite easy to solve<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why? How many do you think you got correct?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Keep calm & 8-10 hrs sleep before exams
\nI attempted all questions.
\nI think , I got mostly 245-250 questions correct in AIPG &
\n252 questions in MHT-CET<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Do think there should be a different strategy for preparation of different entrance exams like AIIMS-PG or PGI?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0I was not eligible for Nov AIIMS & PGI <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Did you join any classes or test series? Was it useful?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Yes
\nBhatia Foundation course & DAMS online test series.
\nYa, they were very useful.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Who or what influenced you to take up Medicine?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0My parents<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. In which field do you want to specialize in? why?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0MD MEDICINE. Not given a thought to super speciality.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. What seat have you been allotted in counselling? Did you join?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Counselling is yet to happen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. What is your advice to future aspirants?<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a01 year of dedication & hard work is all that is required for these exams.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Q. Indian PG entrances are highly competitive, so to crack them students end up in appearing for multiple PG exams with some of them having the same exam with different slots and papers, please extend your views on this and their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ans.\u00a0Multiple PG entrances increases opportunity for PG aspirants & gives a rough idea about where they are going wrong & helps to improve for further exams.
