MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (Department of Health and Family Welfare) has published a notification for amendment in the First Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). According to this amendment\u00a0Diplomate National Board (DNB – Emergency Medicine<\/strong>)\u00a0is now a recognised medical qualification<\/strong> when granted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi on or after June 2013.<\/p>\n

Following\u00a0Diplomate National Board (DNB), Broad Specialty Courses<\/strong> (three years courses at the Post MBBS level) are recognized\u00a0medical qualification when granted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi:<\/p>\n

  1. Diplomate National Board (Anatomy)<\/li>\n
  2. Diplomate National Board (Emergency Medicine)<\/li>\n
  3. Diplomate National Board (Field Epidemiology)<\/li>\n
  4. Diplomate National Board (Immunohematology & Transfusion Medicine)<\/li>\n
  5. Diplomate National Board (Rural Surgery)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
