Dr. Anuja Satish Kapadnis has secured Rank 17 in MH PGM CET 2016. She has done her MBBS from Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai.

Q. In what year did you pass out your MBBS (Completion of Internship)?

Ans. March 2015

Q. What were your MBBS percentage marks (aggregate or final year)?

Ans. 70.4

Q. What is the secret of your success?

Ans. Revision is the key to success. For PG exam preparation smart study is must.

Q. How was your internship?

Ans. It was quite heavy..postings like medicine, surgery, obgy, paediatrics were heavy.

Q. When did you seriously start preparing for the entrance exam?

Ans.  I started studying in my internship around april2015

Q. How many hours did you study each day? How long do you think students need to prepare for cracking PG medical entrance exams?

Ans. I studied 10-14 hrs each day..actually during my internship days it was all dependent on the postings..for cracking PG medical entrance exams its not about the no.of hrs you study.bt its about concentration on the subjest..just focus on important topics..and revise

Q. Which books did you read for the theory part?

Ans. I read arvind arora books for most of the subjects, except patho, Pharmac – Garg…FMT – Sumer Sethi..Medicine – Mudit Khanna..surgery – Amit ashish..obgy – Bhojani

Q. Which books did you read for the MCQs? Which MCQ books were the most productive and which were least?

Ans. For MCQsit was all dependent on the type of exam..for DNB – Kalam volumes..Maharashtra PGM CET – Daga..AIPG – Arvind Arora

Q. Which subjects did you focus on?

Ans. Mainly 1st yr nd 2nd yr subjects, obgy, PSM.

Q. What were your study methods? How many revisions did you do for each subject? Did you make any changes in your study methods in your recent attempts?

Ans. For 1st, 2nd yr subjects I did 4-5 revisions..for rest all subjects 2-3 revisions..I revised some of the important topics repeatedly and the numerical questions in last 1-2 months of exam

Q. Did you do any special preparation for image-based questions?

Ans. I did image based questions only for Ophthalmology, skin and radiology.

Q. What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why? How many do you think you got correct?

Ans. Keep calm and have faith shoulf be the strategy..I solved all the questions in PGM CET, AIPG and DNB..as there was no negative marking in maharashtra cet I solved all the questions

Q. Do think there should be a different strategy for preparation of different entrance exams like AIIMS-PG, PGI and DNB CET?

Ans. Yes..as exam patterns are different for these exams..one should do the important topics and the subjects which have more marks in these exams accordingly..

Q. Did you join any classes or test series? Was it useful?

Ans. Yes..I joined DAMS test series..yes it was quite helpful for me.

Q. Who or what influenced you to take up Medicine?

Ans. My family members and my friends

Q. What seat have you been allotted in counselling? Did you join?

Ans. Councelling is not done yet..

Q. What is your advice to future aspirants?

Ans. Stay focused..do smart study..revise as much as u can.
