Dr. Samir Bhatia

Dr. Samir Bhatia has secured Rank 234 in AIPGMEE 2015. Results of AIPGMEE 2015 were published on 15th January, 2015. He has done his MBBS from MAMC.

Interview

Q. In what year did you pass out your MBBS (Completion of Internship)?
Ans. 2013.

Q. What were your MBBS percentage marks (aggregate or final year) ?
Ans. 55.4%.

Q. What ranks had you secured in any previous PG medical entrance exams you gave?
Ans. AIIMS – 148, PGI – 171. AIIMS may 14 – Rank 500, PGI – 256 and DNB – 3226 May 2014.

Q. What is the secret of your success?
Ans. Persistence.

Q. How was your internship?
Ans. Internship was alright but I was not serious at all.

Q. When did you seriously start preparing for the entrance exam?
Ans. After internship got over but a DNB May rank of 3220+ severely dented my confidence…..but then got over it. Took at least a month to recover back!!

Q. How many hours did you study each day?
Ans. 6-8 hours after finishing internship.

Q. Which books did you read for the theory part?
Ans. For entrance I didn’t do any standard book only MCQ book.

Q. Which books did you read for MCQs revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?
Ans. AA, MK and standard subject MCQ books.

Q. Which subjects did you focus on?
Ans. Pharmacology and Microbiology.

Q. What were your study methods? How many revisions did you do for each subject?
Ans. For certain subjects but majorly books.

Q. What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?
Ans. 300 q …to be relaxed….not to think too much!

Q. Who or what influenced you to take up Medicine?
Ans. My grand father.

Q. In which field do you want to specialize in?
Ans. Radiology

Q. What is your advice to future aspirants?
Ans. Just study…start slowly and pick speed ..rome is not built-in a day!!

Q. Indian PG entrances are highly competitive, so to crack them students end up in appearing for multiple PG exams with some of them having same exam with different slots and papers , please extend your views on this and their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances.
Ans. I m in view of multiple entrances as u have many more chances!!
