Salary
FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS, RESIDENT PATHOLOGIST, CASUALTY MEDICAL OFFICERS AND RESIDENT ANAESTHETISTS:-
Rs. 15600-39100( With initial start of Rs.18750/-) carrying Grade Pay Rs.6600/- allowances as admissible as per orders of the Government issued from time to time.
JUNIOR RESIDENTS:
Rs. 15600-39100/- carrying grade pay of Rs. 5400/- + Other Allowances as admissible.
How to Apply
Walk-in-Interview for filling-up the following vacant posts on tenure basis will be held on 10-09-2014 at 10.00 AM in the office of Director Principal (Room No.210), Level-2 Block-D (Hospital Building), GMCH, Chandigarh.
The applicants should come with application format duly filled up alongwith photocopies of relevant certificates / testimonials, a recent passport size photograph and non~refundable fee of Rs.500/- {Rs.250/- in case of SC candidate(s) by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director Principal, GMCH, Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh on 10-09-2014 at 09.00 AM in the office of undersigned. The applicants must also come with original certificates/testimonials. The candidates are requested to be present at 9.00 a.m. sharp on 10.09.2014 for filling the application form and verification of the requisite documents. The application format along-with other information regarding qualification, experience, pay scales, age, reservation etc. can be downloaded from our website gmch.gov.in. under head vacancies. Qualifications
For Senior Resident, Casualty Medical officer (General Medicine & General Surgery), Resident Anesthetist and Residents Pathologist:
Postgraduate Medical Degree i.e. (M.D./M.S./MDS, D.M./M.Ch/DNB) OR equivalent in the concerned specialty (recognized by MCI and registered either with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council). If such candidates are not available in any particular speciality, those with postgraduate diploma can be considered.
For Senior Resident (Hospital Administration): Postgraduate Medical degree (MD Hospital Administration) Administration/ MD General Medicine). If such candidates are not available in any particular speciality, those with post-graduate diploma can be considered.
For Junior Resident (MBBS): MBBS, Registered with State Medical Council Register/Medical Council of India. The candidates who have already completed their one year rotatory internship completed on 30.06.2014 are eligible to apply.
Tenure of Posts
The above said posts are tenure posts and the appointments will be made for the period of 06 months from the date of joining or till the regular incumbent joins through regular selections, whichever is earlier, being tenure post, subject to the condition that in case his/her work and conduct does not found satisfactory at any stage, his/her services shall be terminated without assigning any reason. Senior Residency, if done, in any Central institution/ Hospital under the Central Residency Scheme, the same shall be counted while working out the tenure of three years so as the maximum period of Senior Residency does not exceed three years.
For Junior Resident:- The posts of Junior Resident are tenure posts and will be filled up for the remaining period of the year 2014 i.e. upto 31.12.2014 subject to satisfactory performance of their duties. The Junior Residency, if done, in any Central institution/hospital, the same shall be counted while working out the tenure of one year, so as the maximum period of Junior Residency should not exceed one year.
Age Limit
FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS, RESIDENT ANAESTHETIST, RESIDENT PATHOLOGIST & CASUALTY MEDICAL OFFICERS (GENERAL MEDICINE, GENERAL SURGERY):
33 years and in case of post doctoral degree holders is 35 years [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants (THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL). In case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).
FOR JUNIOR RESIDENTS: The upper age limit shall be 30 years for MBBS candidates for Junior Residents.
